F.A.Q. ANSWER

Here is the answer to your query:

How do I park a domain name?

For convenience, each domain name added to a Circa 3000 hosting account is automatically published, using typical DNS (Domain Name Services) values. To disable, or "park," a domain name, one must remove some of these default values.

If your domain name is registered through Circa 3000's domain registration services or if your domain is registered through a third-party registrar and points to Circa 3000's name servers, you may easily park your domain by removing all "A" records (a.k.a. "Host" records) from DNS. To do this, navigate your web browser to Circa 3000 > Account Manager > Go > Domain Names > Edit > Publish Internet Addresses and delete all entries.

When you decide to re-publish your website under this domain name, simply re-add the necessary host records; typically "www" and "ftp."
