Error Reporting

Select from a variety of ColdFusion error reporting options. When page processing errors occur, your preferred action is taken:

None
No debugging information is displayed to your website visitors and no alert is delivered to your administrator.

Standard
The standard ColdFusion error message is displayed to your website visitors, with the usual debugging information and instructions to contact your site's designated administrator.

This is the recommended setting when actively debugging pages on your hosted site because it provides instant feedback to your developer in a familiar manner.

Email
A brief, courteous error message is displayed to your website visitors, informing them that your site's administrator has been alerted. No debugging information is displayed. An email with enhanced debugging information is delivered to your site's administrator.

This is the recommended setting for live sites where development is assumed to be complete. Few visitors actually take the time to notify your administrator when failures occur and even fewer should witness your debugging info.

Both
The standard ColdFusion error message is displayed to your website visitors and an email is delivered to your site's administrator, complete with enhanced debugging information.
